Capacity Building for Repurposing Energy Assets

The Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Technology Transitions (OTT) and Fossil Energy and Carbon Management, in collaboration with its newly established Partnership Intermediary Agreement (PIA) with DEFENSEWERX, called ENERGYWERX, will host an Objective Strategic Session (OSS) and Assessment Event (AE) to identify promising community-based government or nongovernmental organizations (e.g., municipal governments; nonprofit organizations dedicated to community development, especially related to energy and economic transition) that are interested and committed to dedicating a staff member whose primary responsibility is coordination and planning of a transition away from an energy asset, especially emphasizing workforce development.

DOE Industrial Assessment Centers (IAC) Implementation Grant Program – Round 1 Solicitation

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), in collaboration with its newly established Partnership Intermediary Agreement (PIA), called ENERGYWERX, has opened an initial round of grant funding for small and medium-sized manufacturing firms (SMMs) to implement recommendations made in Industrial Assessment Centers (IAC) assessments and/or DOE Combined Heat and Power Technical Assistance Partnership (CHP TAP) assessments, and to qualify other assessments as “equivalent” for future funding rounds.
